Role Overview:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health and transparency of the organisation. This individual will work closely with various teams to ensure that financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports and manage intercompany reconciliations.
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS accounting principles, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes for senior management.
  • Support audits by ensuring compliance with external audit requirements and providing necessary documentation.
  • Manage tax reporting and compliance requirements as they relate to IFRS.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure alignment on financial matters and reporting standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and controls.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, with a strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing month-end and year-end processes.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and tax compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
