A national business services company are now recruiting for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Working in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment, the Management Accountant will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for a range of activities including monthly reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Management Accountant duties

  • Creating monthly reports, processing standard and non-standard journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Manage month-end processes, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and present monthly financial results to management.
  • Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Assist in the preparation of external audits.
Management Accountant person specification
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables etc).
  • Confident communicator and able to work with non-finance colleagues to present financial data in a clear way.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, able to understand, question, and challenge information.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
