Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financial performance.
- Assisting in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, highlighting key performance drivers and trends.
- Monitoring and controlling costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Preparing financial reports for senior management, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance.
- Managing cash flow and working capital to ensure the business meets its financial obligations.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting the external audit process.
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support business case evaluations and investment decisions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate and supports business strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role within a technology or private sector business.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part-qualified with a clear path to full qualification.
