Our Client

Our client are a leading firm of chartered accountants with offices based in Cardiff. They are now looking to expand their accounts team and find the right candidate to take on the role as a Senior Accountant.

This is a role with excellent progression and development potential as you’ll be focused on working with the firms varied client base.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with ambition and drive to progress fast within a 12-18 month development plan. Starting off as a Senior Accountant you'll be a finalist or newly qualified candidate ready to manage a client portfolio.

As someone who's hands-on, you'll be detailed, you can demonstrate that you can lead by example and you'll have an interest to develop your own business advisory skills. You'll have commercial acumen and a keen interest in the technology industry.

Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Senior Accountant.  As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance. You will also provide advisory services to clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities:

  • Managing a client portfolio for a diverse range of tech startups providing an excellent, proactive service for the seed to venture backed portfolio
  • Manage monthly management accounts, VAT, PAYE, CT600 delivery
  • Provide business advisory support, actuals v forecast and budgeting
  • Supervise junior members of staff
  • Manage monthly accounting month end close
  • Prepare year-end statutory annual accounts for filing and returns to Companies House.
  • Onboarding clients to ensure the customer onboarding journey is seamless
  • Execute OKR framework according to your level and development path

General:

  • Finalist or Newly Qualified ACCA/ACA
  • 2-3 years practice experience
  • Experience of accounting for OMB's/SME's essential
  • Xero or Quickbooks experience is a big plus
