We are working with a long established, independent accountancy practice seeking an additional Accounts Assistant. The Accounts Assistant will be working in a friendly and knowledgeable business services team specialising in accounts production and some bookkeeping duties.

This is a great opportunity to develop in a professional accountancy practice environment who work with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.

To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role you do need to have worked in an Accountancy practice previously and have experience of working with Cloud-based accountancy packages, including; Quickbooks, Sage and Xero. Knowledge of preparing personal tax returns would be advantageous but not essential.

ACCA/ ACA study support options are available with this opportunity.

Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities;
  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Working and liaising with colleagues in other departments as necessary to provide high-quality client service.
  • Working with Cloud based accountancy packages.
  • Ad-hoc booking keeping when required.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines.
  • Working closely with a Manager.

The Accounts Assistant would suit a a fully or part qualified ACA/ ACCA or QBE individual seeking to work in an established and growing accountancy practice. Regular social events are arranged for employees and the opportunity to attend corporate events.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week with flexible working hours operating within a core time system.
