An independent Cardiff based practice are looking to add a Senior Practice Bookkeeper to their growing team. This is a varied role, where you will be working closely with clients and assisting their bookkeeping needs.
You will be working in a friendly and flexible accountancy practice environment with excellent transport links.
The Bookkeeper position will involve managing your own portfolio of clients and providing a superior Bookkeeping service. To be considered for this opportunity you do need to have worked with cloud based accounting software, including, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. You will occasionally be liaising with clients on site as and when required so you need to be a confident communicator who enjoys client interaction.
The Bookkeeper does need to have previous accountancy practice bookkeeping experience and ideally have gained their AAT level 4 qualification. Xero experience is highly advantageous.
Full and part time hours will be considered and hybrid working from home options.
Senior Practice Bookkeeper duties and responsibilities;- Posting invoices, reconciling bank and preparing journals such as accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Working with cloud based accountancy packages including, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
- Data processing and reconciliations both at client premises and within the office.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Assistance with Accounts preparation to trial balance.
- Liaising with clients and assisting with general queries via email and telephone.
- Training clients with accountancy software.
- Assisting with junior members of the team as and when required.
- Assisting clients with training of accountancy software packages.
Working Hours;
Monday-Friday 37.5 hour per week.
