About Us:

Join our dedicated Mental Health Support Services team in the heart of Canton. We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Higher Clerical Assistant to cover the reception area and contribute to the efficient operation of our office-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover the reception area, providing a welcoming and helpful first point of contact.
  • Answer the door entry system, meet and greet visitors, including the general public, service users, families, and other agencies.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, ensuring a professional and helpful response.
  • Update databases such as Carefirst, Paris, and SharePoint to maintain accurate and current information.
  • Collate statistical data to contribute to reporting and analysis.
  • Type and send out letters, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Issue and manage petty cash for office needs.
  • Record and track Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and staff training activities.

Language Skills:

  • Welsh language proficiency would be advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with database management and statistical collation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working Environment:

  • Full-time office-based role.
