Policy and Public Affairs Officer- 3 months - Fully remote - Immediate Start

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a large membership body who endeavour to make a huge difference to Childrens lives to recruit a Policy and Public Affairs Officer this is an organisation who puts care at the centre of its focus.

What the Policy and Public Affairs Officer will be will be doingThe ideal Policy and Public Affairs Officer will be responsible for

  • Support conversations and attend meetings with colleagues across the College representing Wales
  • Coordinate financial processes such as processing invoices and registering suppliers.
  • Support colleagues across the College to ensure that UK-wide policy positions are responsive to the needs of our members and stakeholders in Wales.
  • Plan, draft and help produce policy and communications content to support engagement with stakeholders in government, policy and health circles in Wales to influence policy and practice in line with the organisations priorities

What the successful Policy and Public Affairs Officer will bring to the teamThis role is suitable for someone who has

* Demonstrable experience of producing high quality content for digital and social media (including websites, bulk email and Twitter)

* Brilliant written and verbal communication skills

* Good capability across the Microsoft Office applications

* Have good policy and political knowledge
