Brook Street Social Care are working with a wonderful charity who are recruiting for financial wellbeing advisers. You will be working with an award-winning charity who specialise in social justice using expertise and real-life past experiences to empower people and get them the help they need. You will be speaking with and supporting people who feel they are being held back by poverty, exploitation, abuse, addiction, mental health and/or being caught up in crime. This role involves speaking with individuals who have been forwarded to you by their probation officer so they can receive help and advice on finance and benefits. This is role is mostly office based with some flexibility for home working and opportunities to go out and meet the individuals you are supporting face to face.

The role involves providing person-centred support to individuals serving community sentences or recently released from prison, focusing on achieving prescribed outcomes through assessment, action planning, and delivering targeted interventions, including group sessions.

The role requires creating a safe, trauma-informed environment to build trust with service users, while maintaining positive relationships with external agencies like Probation and Prisons. Responsibilities include meeting contractual targets, recording caseload activities in CRM databases, providing updates and reports, representing the partnership in external meetings, and continuously enhancing skills to ensure high-quality service delivery.
