SRM Recruitment is seeking an experienced聽Accounts Receivable Clerk聽for a multi-national company based in Cardiff.

DescriptionA highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk is sought to join a dynamic Shared Service Centre team. This individual will play a key role in executing critical finance processes, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while adhering to established procedures and controls.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. They will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced shared service environment.

Requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Generate and send timely and accurate invoices to clients.
  • Track outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments
  • Manage client queries and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
  • Process incoming payments and apply them to the correct accounts to facilitate accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and prepare related reports.
  • Perform provisions, accruals, adjustments for bad debt, etc., to enable closing the AR-ledger for reporting.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, as well as holding or pursuing a professional qualification, is desirable.
  • Prior experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a shared service centre environment.
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems, specifically D365, is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages advantageous (e.g., Spanish, German, French).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
