Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Risk Assurance Consultant for a local, people focused independent consultancy.
The Risk Assurance Consultant role is part of a truly unique organisation. Their approach to their staff has about providing flexible working and this extends to a 30 hour contract and four day working week.
- Support the Senior Leads in overseeing delivery of the Risk Assurance (the Internal Audit and consultancy) service the group clients, as directed by the Senior Leadership
- Deliver a range of audit and consultancy engagements at clients sites, including those of a more complex and specialist nature.
- Supervise team members to deliver required audit plans.
- Support more junior team members with their ongoing training and professional development.
- Ensure that engagements are delivered in line with international auditing standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations in relation to professionalism, cost effectiveness and quality.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Work as an individual and as a team leader in delivering high quality risk-based Internal Audits within required timescales and budgets.
- Manage, perform and control a wide range of engagements from engagement planning, conduct and control of audit work through to the production of high-quality, professional reports.
- Undertake quality assurance reviews of team member's work before final review by the Senior leads and ensure recommendations included are practical and value-adding.
- Ensure the effective management of key risks; resources; systems of internal control; and compliance with both statutory requirements and organisations policies; financial regulations; and rules.
- Identify and effectively communicate opportunities for added value and efficiency savings to clients.
- Lead and supervise more junior staff, with support.
