Role Title: Business Development Team Leader

Location: Head Office, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0LT

Salary: £32,500

Reports to: Head of Sales

Role Purpose:

To support and coach a high performing team of Business Development Consultants to build, expand and look after our client relationships across England, and in turn deliver the key targets and KPIs set out by the business. In addition, you will ensure that all activities result in a great customer experience for the learner and employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a high performing team through direct coaching, training and development
  • Deliver or exceed agreed KPIs for your team by maximising all sales opportunities
  • Monitor and manage the performance against all required KPIs, taking full ownership for team targets and working closely with the Head of Sales to achieve KPIs meet ESFA and Ofsted requirements
  • Provide accurate KPI information and updates on a daily basis
  • Maintain and develop the CRM database to maximise sales potential and opportunities.
  • Ensure all team members have monthly 1-2-1s, supporting and stretching their performance and setting SMART targets to achieve KPIs
  • Proactively supporting and managing underperformance within the team, implementing performance improvement processes where minimum levels of performance are not met
  • Ensure development plans are in place to progress individuals to the next level
  • Work in partnership with support, operations, quality and compliance teams to ensure a great customer experience for the learner and employer
  • Carry out all onboarding processes for new team members including induction sales training
  • Understand key product knowledge and concepts for all products, keeping up to date with market and qualification changes, ensuring this information is presented/trained out to team members
  • Hold team meetings with your team as required/directed

Skills & Experience Desirable:

  • Demonstrable track record of new business generation within B2B or B2C
  • Demonstrable ability to meet KPIs and follow budget forecasts
  • Knowledge of CRM or Client Databases preferable
