Description

As the Maintenance and Projects Manager you will be responsible for:

The Maintenance & Project and Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of industrial projects and ensure the optimal maintenance of facility equipment. The role involves managing resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Oversee the maintenance of all facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and optimise costs.
  • Plan, initiate, and oversee industrial projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Identify and select contractors for specialised maintenance and project work.
  • Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

Profile

A successful Maintenance & Project Manager should have:

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience in a maintenance management and project management roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, preventative maintenance strategies, and equipment reliability.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial maintenance.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external contractors.
