?We are currently partnering with a South Wales based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client is a small housing association, whose stock covers the length of the M4 corridor in South Wales, and are looking to take on a Surveyor to take full responsibility for their reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveying.

This is a full-time position with a £38,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveys within domestic dwellings, largely within purpose built flats for elderly living
  • Identifying causes of damp and mould
  • Creating specifications for remedial works, and liaising with contractors to arrange
  • Ensuring all works fall in line with WHQS
  • Updating asset management databases with works that have been carried out, as well making a note of timelines for any cyclical maintenance
  • Compliance: Planning and coordinating works for EICRs, FRAs, Gas Safety checks and managing the asbestos and legionella register
  • Carrying out stock condition surveys as required

Experience required:

  • Experience in Social Housing
  • Experience dealing with tenants

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Damp and Mould knowledge
  • A strong understanding of property compliance

Rewards and Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 based on length of service
  • Up to 8% pension contribution
  • 3 days a week from home

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
