Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver based in Cardiff with an immediate start for a temporary assignment with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.Pay: £12 Per HourMonday - Friday: 08:00 - 17:00The Role:
  • Plan efficient delivery routes throughout South Wales to safely ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner to customers
  • Comply with health and safety requirements to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before each and every journey, through daily vehicle checks
  • Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Ability to handle fragile packages and parcels with care and adhering to manual handling regulations - some heavy lifting is a requirement of the role
  • Communicates with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
  • To assist in the warehouse to take delivery of goods for unloading, sorting, stacking and storage process/pick order requests for all stock items for a customer collection and /or delivery from the warehouse
The Right candidate:
  • Valid full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Ability to undertake physical activities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A forklift licence is desirable
