Mechanical Site Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our growing mechanical division, operating across South Wales and the UK. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with substantial experience managing mechanical systems installations on large-scale commercial new build and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring all aspects of mechanical installation are executed to a high standard and within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage mechanical works on diverse commercial projects across the UK.

Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection services.

Manage site-level project operations, ensuring all tasks comply with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Lead and manage site operatives and subcontractors, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project plans.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures, staying up to date with any changes.

Perform regular inspections and quality checks, maintaining comprehensive QA documentation to track progress and standards.

Support the commissioning and handover process, working closely with the Project Manager.

Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, inspection logs, and work schedules.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heating and Ventilation (Commercial), Building Services Installer/Craftsperson, or Plumbing Systems.

Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection installations.

Familiarity with mechanical installation techniques, commissioning, and maintenance practices.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of operatives and subcontractors.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good IT literacy.

Full UK driving license.

Typical Working Week:

Contract based on 37 hours per week.

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (excluding travel time)

A 0.5-hour lunch break is included.

Some weekend work or overtime may be required.

Flexibility to work away during the week for non-local projects, with lodging provided where necessary.
Compensation:

Weekly pay structure based on the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) National Agreement.
