My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cardiff. My client is a well-established practice with an exceptional reputation and are now offering an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy, collaborative team working in a modern, professional environment. The key duties of the Project Structural Engineer involve:

  • Working on diverse structural engineering projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams.
  • Managing resources effectively and ensure compliance with current technical standards and regulations, including CDM and health & safety protocols.
  • Perform structural analysis using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, AutoCAD, and REVIT.
  • Contribute to report writing, interpreting numerical data, and presenting findings.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and assist with mentoring junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications as a Project Structural Engineer:

  • A minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience
  • A relevant Engineering Degree (MEng, BEng Hons, or BSc),
  • Chartered or working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and structural analysis software, such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, and AutoCAD. Experience with BIM (REVIT) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of technical standards, CDM regulations, and good report writing skills.
  • A self-motivated individual with a passion for learning and developing professionally.
