Your Company:A leading business operating in the construction engineering market is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in the Cardiff area. With a great portfolio established and expertise across many sectors, this is a highly successful company, eager to expand their core teams and offering to their clients.In this exciting position, the successful candidate will be supporting on a number of diverse temporary and permanent projects, where they will be designing and providing their knowledge of geotechnical structures. The company have promised this will be a fruitful role and will allow the successful candidate to delve into new areas of knowledge and build upon their existing experience.Your Roles & Responsibilities:While in this position your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Designing both temporary and permanent geotechnical structures
  • Creating designs for structural and civil schemes as well as giving input into schemes from other disciplines, ensuring these are reviewed and checked
  • Undertaking extensive surveys and inspections of geotechnical structures
  • Preparing reports based off of the findings from these investigations
  • Ensuring feasibility is understood
  • Working on project programmes as needed
  • Supervising and, where needed, training junior members of the team
What you will need to Apply:To be considered for this role applicants must possess a relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification and in addition to this they must have at least 5 years of experience within a comparable role.
