Job Title: Site Engineer (National Grid Persons)
Location: South Wales
Start Date: Mid-February 2025
Rate: Up to £400 per day (paid via CIS)
Overview:We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with National Grid Persons certification to join our project team in South Wales. This role will involve a range of responsibilities including Quality Assurance, setting out, supervision of civils works, and site administration. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering within the utilities or infrastructure sectors, with strong knowledge of National Grid processes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work on site meets required quality standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Setting Out: Accurately set out civil works, ensuring precise measurements and alignment.
- Supervision of Civils Works: Oversee and supervise civils contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and time schedules.
- Site Administration: Maintain up-to-date site documentation, including daily logs, reports, and compliance records. Support the project manager with planning and reporting.
- Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations on-site, including the safe working practices specific to National Grid projects.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other project team members to ensure effective communication and delivery of project milestones.
- Valid National Grid Persons certification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civils, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and quality control.
- Familiarity with National Grid standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Full understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to National Grid projects.
- Previous experience on National Grid related projects or other utility infrastructure works.
- Proficiency in site management software or systems.
