Job Advertisement: Fire and Security Engineer

Our client, a leading facilities management company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and security systems across various commercial and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain fire detection and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire and security systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and undertake immediate repairs to restore the functionality of fire and security systems.
  • Troubleshoot system faults and carry out necessary repairs and replacements in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring their understanding of system operations and maintenance requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance work performed.
  • Collaborate with other team members and external contractors to ensure smooth project delivery and excellent customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practises.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and security systems.
  • Sound knowledge of fire safety regulations and security system standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve system faults.
  • Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment necessary for installation and maintenance work.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively.
  • A valid driving licence is required.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week. Hours to be worked between 7.30am-4.30pm Monday-Friday.

You will be based at your home and travel to your work location for that day, you will have paid travel time, any journey which is further than a 30 minute drive from your home location.
