About the Role:
My client is looking for a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Engineer to join their team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and intruder alarms. You will work directly with clients across commercial and residential sites, ensuring their systems are functioning efficiently, effectively, and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain fire alarms, CCTV systems, access control systems, and intruder alarms.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks, diagnostics, and repairs on existing fire and security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Provide on-site training and support to clients regarding their system operations.
• Work closely with clients to understand their fire and security needs and provide tailored recommendations.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure high-quality service is delivered.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, products, and technologies in the fire and security industry.

Package:

• Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 Basic DOE

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer or in a similar role, with experience in fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and intruder alarms.
• Strong understanding of fire and security systems, including both hardware and software components.
• Familiarity with a range of fire and security equipment brands and types.
• Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of fire and security systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
