Vacancy: Commercial Account Manager

Location: South Wales

Salary: £59,000 per annum plus £8,300 Car Allowance and commission & bonus (£75k OTE)

JHP Recruitment are seeking a driven and target-oriented Commercial Account Manager to join our Security and Facilities Management client based in South Wales. The successful candidate will have proven experience visiting and presenting to existing and prospective clients, and working with a wider team to achieve SLAs and KPIs.

As Commercial Account Manager, you will be provided with all equipment required to work from home but you will be required to work out of the office based in Cardiff Gate 1-2 days a week and will travel to existing and prospective clients most other days of the week.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Joint responsibility of branch P&L with the Branch Operations Manager
  • Work alongside the commercial team to develop strategies for business growth
  • Work closely with the operations team to develop client relationships and understand the needs of all clients within their portfolio
  • Highlight any significant issues to the internal area/branch teams, make recommendations, and work in collaboration to find an appropriate solution
  • Achieve continued margin accretion by selling a varied mix of protective services
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill solution gaps, and ensure product and standardisation compliance across the markets
  • Inform local customers of innovative service improvement ideas through visits, seminars and customer listening groups
  • Gain a full understanding of prospective new client’s business objectives, culture, and decision-making processes, identifying key stakeholders and decision makers, whilst maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the client’s purchasing strategy and the competitive market environment
  • Work in partnership with the new client to deliver an outstanding service in order to retain and grow the business
  • Negotiate regular price reviews across the portfolio of accounts
  • Provision of local client intelligence, leading to actionable commercial insights (lead generation, up-sales, transformation)
  • Develop and execute commercial plans ensuring expansion of the current commercial action plan, portfolios, and conversion of new prospective customers
  • Successfully execute commercial terms negotiations and price increase campaigns
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across the South Wales area that align with key market segments
