Monday to Friday- Days 37.5 hours per week.

My client, a nationally recognised energy from waste facility is looking for an engineering / maintenance manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The business continues to grow and the upward trend is set to continue with the industry projected for huge growth in the future.

Working as part of the site leadership team, we are looking for candidates that can meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in practical implementation of a corporate management system with a flexible approach to ensure that critical work is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Extensive engineering experience of the process industry or power industry, including the management of PSSR legislation.
  • Experience working with Maintenance Management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and develop a new team in a start-up scenario with a no compromise approach to health, safety and environmental compliance, preferably at a senior level within a large department.
  • Commercial awareness and budgetary responsibility for maintenance and defect support.
  • Experience of contractor management to deliver against KPI's.
  • Full UK driving license.

Reporting to the general manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the site engineering team, with a safety first mindset.
  • Drive improvement across site to deliver a world class operational facility.
  • Planning and coordinating shutdowns
  • Managing the CAPEX project lifecycle
  • Full responsibility for the engineering and maintenance budgets.
