Reed recruitment have partnered with a highly regulated manufacturer based in Cardiff, this is a NPI Engineering Manager opportunity in a strongly established Medical Devices company,

This role offers the chance to lead a dynamic team within a focused market segment, managing projects and supervising talented professionals from Design Engineering, Process Engineering, and Project Management disciplines. Focusing on executing projects prioritised by the company's global engineering team.

  • Salary: Circa £65,000

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead project teams in executing projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Facilitate resource planning and allocation, identifying and hiring new resources as needed.
  • Work across departments to address and remove obstacles for project teams.
  • Monitor and report on project and employee performance, providing regular updates to management.
  • Support internal initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and business process development.
  • Compile and present reports on project execution performance and status to leadership at various levels.
  • Coordinate with other Managers to ensure consistency in role expectations and support for direct reports.
  • Advocate for the business unit in escalations and resource additions, ensuring team members have necessary support and resources.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development of the team, particularly in areas relevant to emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Proactively monitor business unit performance against KPIs, addressing deviations and celebrating successes.
  • Increase familiarity with tools and processes used by team members to improve day-to-day operations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in external communications, resolving conflicts and building lasting, trust-based relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety rules, Company Quality Standards, and regulatory requirements.
