We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to manage the delivery of large-scale projects across a national network.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects from initial scoping through to tender, execution, and handover.
  • Oversee a team of 4-6 project professionals, including Project Managers and Support Officers, ensuring their development and successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timelines, working across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout all stages, following the Project Management Methodology (PRINCE2 and NEC contracts).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, fulfilling client responsibilities for CDM regulations.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, liaising with senior management, government bodies, and external partners.
  • Drive the successful handover of projects into business-as-usual operations, ensuring long-term value for the network and end-users.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing large, complex infrastructure projects, ideally within a transportation or rail environment.
  • Expertise in working with various stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a background in managing teams and developing talent.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE2, NEC3/4, and CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent budgeting, financial management, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and drive successful project completion in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP)
  • NEC3/4 Project Manager Accreditation (or willingness to work towards)
