Job Purpose, Tasks, and Responsibilities

As a Lead Trainer, you will oversee the growth and evolution of Astutis' Environmental and Sustainability portfolio.

Your role will involve delivering training, supporting course development, and working closely with clients to deliver environmental consulting solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering IEMA and other equivalent courses, while maintaining and enhancing the quality of training provided by the delivery team.
  • Supporting course development by providing subject matter expertise and authoring engaging course materials.
  • Advising and guiding learners throughout their studies.
  • Growing the portfolio of courses to address emerging trends and client needs.
  • Delivering consulting solutions on environmental and sustainability topics for clients.
  • Creating blogs and educational content to promote public knowledge of environmental issues.
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and participating in account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Building a positive web presence through Astutis' social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter).
  • Acting as a customer representative to ensure that contracts are fulfilled in line with expectations.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree (Level 6) in Environmental or Sustainability topics.
  • Environmental and sustainability qualifications, with a genuine passion for the subject.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role in the Environmental Services sector.
  • Experience delivering IEMA or equivalent training courses.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with senior decision-makers (C-suite).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in business IT applications such as MS Teams, Zoom, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience in the HSE or corporate training services sector.
  • A background in learning design and course development.
  • Experience delivering NEBOSH or IOSH training courses.
  • Senior management experience in this field.
