We are seeking a Fluent Welsh Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young children in a bilingual environment and want to gain experience in a supportive nursery setting.
About the Nursery:
This nursery is a vibrant and welcoming space for children aged 0 to 5 years. They prioritise the emotional and educational development of every child, creating a nurturing atmosphere where bilingualism, creativity, and learning flourish. About the Role:
As a Fluent Welsh Nursery Assistant, you will support the Lead Educators in delivering engaging activities that promote children’s development across all areas. You will help create a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring children are happy, engaged, and learning through play. Your role will involve using Welsh as a primary language of communication, interacting with children, maintaining a clean and organised space, and building positive relationships with parents and carers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and bilingual development.
- Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support the Lead Educators in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
- Help with daily routines, including meals, nap times, and personal care.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Welsh (essential).
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable.
- A warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to different situations.
- CACHE Level 3 in Childcare is desirable but not essential.
