Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (1:1) - Cardiff

We are seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 pupil in Cardiff with challenging behaviour. This full-time role is due to last for the next two school terms and requires someone with strong experience in 1:1 support.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with challenging behaviour.
  • Assisting the pupil with classroom activities and ensuring they remain on task.
  • Facilitating movement breaks and other behaviour management techniques as required.
  • Implementing strategies to support the child's academic and emotional development.
  • Building a positive relationship with the pupil, helping to create a stable learning environment.
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies.

Requirements:

  • Welsh language fluency.
  • Proven experience working 1:1 with children, especially those with challenging behaviour.
