Brook Street Social Care are excited to be recruiting a new Children's Home Residential Manager in South Wales. This is an ideal opportunity for a progressive Residential Manager or Deputy Manager looking to move into their first Residential Management appointment.

Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic Registered Manager to join their team at their residential children's home in Cardiff on a permanent and full-time basis.

The Role:
As a Registered Manager your role will involve managing the residential home on a day-to-day basis ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements including the health and educational needs of young people. You will be expected to respond and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits and complaints and investigations.
You will be the person with overall responsibility for the Children's Home and accountable for delivering a high standard of service provision, incorporating care, welfare and safety of all children and young people in their care for them to achieve a secure base.
You will support, lead and manage a team of staff ensuring that the right professional advice is given and ensure that they provide protection and will support the children with their psychological, emotional and social development needs.

Experience

You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years

You have at least 1 year at senior level.

You have experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager

Working with children, young people and their families.

Work in a residential setting.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable, solution focused and supportive.

Be able to manage stress and difficult dynamics and demonstrate emotional resilience.

Ability to monitor the service for quality of care.

Qualifications:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services; or equivalent; or a preparedness to work towards the same.

Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development
