JOB – Electrical Design Engineer    LOCATION – Cardiff, South WalesTERM - Permanent SALARY – £45,000- £60,000 per annum. A South Wales based engineering company are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.  The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: 
  • BEng or equivalent electrical engineering qualification or relevant discipline.
  • 3 years’ electrical design experience.
  • Good experience & understanding of design software such as Solid Edge.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
The Electrical Design Engineer’s duties will involve:
  • The design of electrical systems, electrical harnesses & various equipment.
  • Supporting the leadership of electrical design overall.
  • Creating & developing project estimates & budgets.
  • Modifying existing drawings & specifications.
  • Producing electrical schematics & drawings to fit requirements.
  • Providing support to other engineers when required.
  • Ensuring health & safety regulations are met at all times.
  • Liaising with other engineers & departments to ensure requirements are being met at all times.
