The Opportunity


Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about delivering sustainable solutions? We're looking for a Senior Electrical / EICA Engineer to join a leading consultancy and help tackle some of the most pressing environmental and efficiency challenges in our communities.
This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects within the water sector, and you'll be based at one of the offices in Cardiff with the flexibility of hybrid working, combining office and home-based work.
The consultancy is currently experiencing a period of significant growth, working with some of the top water clients across the UK. Youll be involved in large-scale, impactful projects aimed at building sustainable infrastructure to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change.


Key Responsibilities


As a Senior Electrical / EICA Engineer, you'll be engaged across the entire project life cycle, from Front-End Engineering Design through to detailed design and installation. You'll also provide consultancy support in areas requiring specialist input for both internal and external projects.
You'll have the opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced members of the team, helping them develop their skills while managing and contributing to a wide range of projects across sectors including water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and the environment.


Current and Ongoing Projects Include:


- Thames Water: Managing all HS2 design assurance and multiple engineering studies and assessments for both Infrastructure and non-Infrastructure deliverables.
- Southern Water: A strategic partner working on the iconic _Water for Life Hampshire_ project.
- Severn Trent Water: Providing support across major schemes and PR24 initiatives.
- Wessex Water & South West Water: Supporting multiple AMP8 frameworks.

About You


To be successful in this role, you'll need:


- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in EICA design, with a focus on technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, and reports.
- Proficiency in producing Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, and contributing to collaborative design outputs such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Experience within the Water sector is highly desirable, although candidates with experience in the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors are also encouraged to apply.
