Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing maintenance team in a highly respected industrial facility? Following a successful recent hire, our client is looking for another Mechanical Engineering Technician to support their expanding operations.

With a full order book for the next three years and multi-million-pound site investments, this is the perfect time to be part of a company committed to growth, innovation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high levels of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) compliance for all maintenance activities.
  • Support unplanned stoppage recovery and assist with first-line fault-finding and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with departments to enhance plant reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through FMEA/RCM studies and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Assist the MRO Stores Controller in optimising inventory for plant reliability and performance.
  • Supervise contractors for maintenance and capital project activities during plant outages.
  • Maintain detailed equipment records using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Key Requirements
  • Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, pipelines, boilers, vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and reliability tools (FMEA, RCM, condition monitoring, CMMS).
  • Experience with alignment techniques, ultrasonics, vibration analysis, and thermography.
  • Understanding of pressure systems, confined space entry, risk assessments, and hot work permits.
  • Strong reporting skills with the ability to assess, improve, and implement maintenance workflows.
