My client designs, develops and manufactures industry-leading magnetic separation, metal detection, fluid recycling and vibratory equipment for over 80 industries. They are a multinational company with our European headquarters having been established in the South Wales area for over 50 years.
Recently they have branched off and are growing out a new R&D function, with a sole emphasis on NPD and R&D around future concept and designs.
They are looking to hire an Electronic Technician to help build, assemble, test and repair both electrical devices and test setups within a research environment to support product development from concept through to production launch
Responsibilities:
- Read and comprehend complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuit schematics
- Build, assemble, test, and repair electrical devices and test setups
- Use electronic test equipment for repair and troubleshooting
- Implement electrical lab test programs to evaluate new prototype products to meet specifications. This includes the accurate collection of test data and the reduction of test data into clearly written test reports
- Populate parts onto prototype printed circuit boards. This includes the ability to evaluate and de-bug board performance
