I am currently supporting an NHS client to recruit a Technical Architect to support the development of a new environmentally sustainable facility focusing on patient experience. This vacancy is a 36 month fixed-term contract, offering mainly remote working with a requirement to travel to South Wales once per week.Your new roleAre you looking to implement new digital technologies that will support the well-being of patients and donors? Look no further, in this role you will support the Workstream Lead to provide technical assurance and develop solutions across the entire infrastructure ecosystem, including digitisation of records, active network, passive network, network management and automation, and integration.You will be engaging with end users and other stakeholders to fully understand operational requirements and build innovative technical solutions that will be deployed to fully meet user's needs. What you'll need to succeedEssentials

  • Degree level or equivalent experience is needed.
  • Understanding of information systems concepts and practices (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps)
  • Knowledge of the digital infrastructure within an enterprise organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure configurations
  • Understands the principles and practice of good sustainable, secure, maintainable and efficient system design
  • Technical and functional understanding of Commercial Off-the-shelf applications and/or other bespoke software deployed.

Desirables

  • HPE Aruba certification (or CISCO certification)
  • ITIL foundation
  • Cloud virtualisation and the use of tools and systems to manage virtualised environments
  • High level understanding of cyber security best practice.
  • Understands how software tools can automate or assist part of the development process
  • Understands the concepts of software that enables the capture, creation, population and manipulation of structured and unstructured data
  • Prince2 or Prince2Agile Project Management.
