As a Production Operative, you will play a vital part in our production process. Youll be operating some of the largest machinery and equipment in the industry and contribute to the production of around 1 million tonnes of steel every year. Without our Production Operatives, we wouldnt be the market leader.
Ideally, youll come from a manufacturing background because you will be operating heavy machinery but whats most important to us is that you know how to follow strict safety procedures. Health and Safety is your number one priority, so youll be confident to speak out if something is wrong.
Although our finished product is steel we are actual a recycling company, the 2ndlargest in Europe. The steel that we produce goes into projects such as Wembley Stadium, HS2, The Shard, Hinkley Point Power Station and Heathrow Terminal 2.
Youll be joining a recycling company we recycle scrap metal into new steel products. Were the largest producer of reinforcing steel in the UK and one of the largest metal recyclers, too. Were passionate about the circular economy and working towards our decarbonisation pathway.
