Position: Production OperatorContract Type: Temporary long term, ongoing with a view to becoming permanentWorking Pattern: Full Time - Shifts, Days and Nights (12-hour shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)Pay Rate: £14.15 per hour

What You'll Do:As a Production Operator, you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Equipment: Safely handle machines and production equipment according to established instructions.
  • Maintaining Records: Keep accurate daily production records to help analyse manufacturing performance.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigatory reports for any defective actions or situations, when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members across shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety First: Always adhere to our Business Cardinal rules and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Health & Safety: Work safely and take initiative regarding Health & Safety and Environmental issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Total Quality Management and contribute to ongoing improvements.

What We're Looking For:While prior experience is beneficial, it's not essential. The following skills and knowledge will help you excel in this role:

  • Previous production or machine operating experience.
  • An organised approach to work.
  • The ability to thrive in a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation specific to Heavy Manufacturing.
  • Experience in welding, fabrication, or oxy propane cutting is a strong advantage but not essential.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes remotely is a strong advantage but not essential.
