We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner with a focus on Costing and Value in the NHS in Cardiff. The successful candidate will provide critical financial insights and support to help drive business performance in the Accounting & Finance department.

Description
This is an exciting role for a qualified or QBE accountant to work as an Interim until end of March 2025
This is a newly created role and will report to a Head of Finance.
The role will include
- Develop NHS finance costing model for the organisation Including:
- Expand the range of services and activities which we cost within our costing model/returns
- Work with services across the organisation to identify, validate and use activity information for costing
- Implement improvements and automation to our Microsoft Excel costing model and develop reporting mechanisms including dashboard reportingSupport value work within the organisation including:
- Develop value analysis throughout the services
- Undertaking benchmarking and using benchmarking information to drive forward improvement
- Creation of value projects database
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner (Costing and Value) should have:
- Professional certification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, or equivalent. QBE's with relevant experience will be considered
- Proven experience in a similar role would be desirable.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adept at using financial software and MS Office.
- A thorough understanding of financial regulations and standards.
