Finance Manager - Cardiff£17.30 per hour 3 Month contract (with a view to extend)Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To provide managers with financial information and reports to enable effective service delivery and planning.
  2. To provide trend commentary and financial projections in relation to core budgets and grant funding.
  3. To provide information to assist in the procurement and tendering process for the purchase of goods and services,
  4. To develop and maintain management information systems to record key service activity.
  5. To assist in the monitoring and analysis of performance data, financial and management information.
  6. To contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of key service activity, and to ensure that all services are provided within the County policies and procedures and legal requirements.
  7. To lead on the gathering of data to respond to FOI and other Information Requests
  8. To be the main point of contact for the Direct Payment System, including setting up of new staff with roles and responsibilities
  9. To liaise with the Service Accountancy Team as required on budget spend, compliance with Financial Procedural Rules.
  10. To be responsible for the management of the Finance Team , including supervision, appraisal, recruitment, induction, disciplinary etc and overall team development and morale.
