Pay: £17:00 per hour

Purpose of the Role

To ensure financial systems and staff support the delivery of quality services for children in need, at risk, and being looked after. The role focuses on providing accurate financial information to aid service management and ensuring services operate within legal and policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver financial information, projections, and trend analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist with procurement, tendering, and budget compliance in collaboration with the Service Accountancy Team.
  • Oversee performance data monitoring and analysis to evaluate key service activities.
  • Supervise the finance team, ensuring equitable work allocation, appraisals, and team morale.
  • Manage the Direct Payment System and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
  • Maintain and develop efficient management information systems.
  • Ensure compliance with council policies, legal standards, and health and safety regulations.
