Interim Finance Partner – Financial & Procurement Planning Immedaitely Required

Our client, a well-respected public sector body in South Wales, is looking for a Finance Partner specialising in Financial and Procurement Planning to come on board on a temporary basis until March 2025.

Location: South Wales (Open to Fully Remote working for the right candidate)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Length of Contract: March 31st 2025

Hourly Rate: £20.99 via Umbrella

Day to Day Duties:

  • Provide financial support, advice and information to enable managers and leaders to effectively and proactively manage financial performance. 
  • Specifically focussing on consistency of information held on forecasted spending plans, providing advice and support to assist procurement and directorates to ensure delivery of plans through to year end. 
  • Support our Governance and Business Manager to review our current divisional procurement plans, contract management records and establish new ways of working to deliver a combined spending plan and procurement plan for Ops & Finance for 25/26

Essential Skills:

  • NHS Finance Experience
  • Excellent Analytical and Numerical Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of procurement process in NHS would be beneficial.
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of computerised financial accounting systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience in all Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work.
