Ware seeking a detail-oriented and proactive KYC/AML Analyst to join our Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as part of our client onboarding process. This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, the ability to analyse client documentation, and experience using various screening platforms to mitigate financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough KYC and AML checks on new clients during the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilise various software platforms and screening tools to perform due diligence, background checks, and risk assessments.
  • Verify and analyse client identification documents, business ownership structures, and source of funds to detect potential financial crime risks.
  • Maintain, update, and review client records on an ongoing basis to ensure continued compliance with AML regulations.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks, red flags, and suspicious activities to the Compliance team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of KYC/AML procedures, policies, and processes to align with evolving regulations and best practices.
  • Respond to internal and external queries related to client due diligence and AML compliance matters.
  • Support periodic audits, regulatory reporting, and other compliance-related projects as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a KYC, AML, Compliance, or Risk Management role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of global AML/KYC regulations, including but not limited to UK, EU, and US regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience using screening tools such as World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to assess risk effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and compliance-related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in AML/KYC compliance (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is advantageous.
  • Experience working with high-risk clients, corporate structures, and complex onboarding cases.
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring and enhanced due diligence processes.
