About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Technologist to join a leading speciality bakery manufacturer based in Cardiff. The role is essential for ensuring the smooth introduction of new products and providing baking expertise to support the bakeries. You will work closely with both Product Development and Production teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

In this fast-paced environment, you will apply your knowledge of machinery, raw materials, and production processes to contribute to high-quality output. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team with plenty of opportunities for growth and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct full plant trials according to agreed procedures and provide detailed reports that reflect all measurements, observations, and recommended actions.
  • Use baking expertise to maintain damage levels in the bakery below 3%.
  • Attend NPD (New Product Development) Tracker meetings to provide updates on product status and handle requests from the NPD department.
  • Ensure Production Management is fully informed about all plant trials and their impact on production.
  • Plan and execute plant trials, ensuring accurate and thorough reporting.

About You

  • Strong understanding of plant and equipment, including its expected function and fault identification.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, their properties, and functionality.
  • Understanding of the production process and its impact on the final product.
  • Ability to work methodically and produce accurate reports.
  • Familiarity with baking and recipe reformulation.
