Job Description

IOS Education are recruiting for Teachers who would be able to cover various classes within Primary Schools and Secondary Schools in Cardiff.

We are experiencing a surge in demand. Positions can start immediately, and we can offer you work in as many schools as you wish. Successful applicants will be covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 13 but if you have a Key Stage preference, we will match you up as much as possible.

Due to the current climate, the nature of our work is quite fast paced with supply teachers required to cover last minute absences at times. We will also be able to offer you long term placements if this is of something of interest to you.

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles as well as Secondary Teachers.

As a Supply Teacher youll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.

The schools are looking for versatile teachers who would be able to adapt to different classes when required. You will have access to outdoor learning spaces and full use of school resources. In the majority of classes, you will have Learning Support Staff to support with the delivery of lessons. During long term/regular placements you will also receive in house training with the schools and benefit from attending Inset and after school meetings.
