Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 3) Location: Ely, Cardiff Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school community in Ely, Cardiff. This rewarding role involves supporting the Year 3 class with day-to-day duties, as well as providing some 1-1 support throughout the week for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with general classroom tasks and activities.

  • Supporting individual and small group learning to help all pupils achieve their potential.

  • Providing tailored 1-1 support for a child with ASD, ensuring they feel included, engaged, and supported.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

  • Helping to prepare learning materials and setting up classroom resources.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Experience working in a primary school environment.

  • Desirable: Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), particularly with ASD.
