About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our agency, supporting schools across Cardiff. As a key member of the classroom team, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students, helping them reach their full potential in both academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapting resources where necessary
  • Assisting in the preparation of lesson materials and classroom displays
  • Providing general administrative support for the class teacher
  • Supervising students during breaks and lunchtimes
  • Encouraging and promoting student well-being and engagement in learning activities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, compassionate, and positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
