Are you an operational HR Manager/Generalist available at short notice and open to temporary, part-time work? Would you like to contribute to a fantastic charity that makes a real difference in people's lives?

If so, Moxie People is partnering with a wonderful charity as they recruit an interim HR Manager. This is a unique part-time opportunity to join a lovely wider Business Support team and gain broad exposure to the full HR remit. Initially a temporary three-month role, there is potential for an extension.

Even if you're not currently operating at an HR Manager level but are a hands-on operational HR Generalist, we'd love to hear from you!

Role: HR Manager (temporary)

Salary: 18-20 per hour (dependent on experience)

Location: Hybrid working - office based in Cardiff

Duration: Temporary for 3 months initially

Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible working pattern)

Start: Available at short notice

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise staff, ensuring that individual workplans align with organisational objectives, with clear, achievable targets that are regularly monitored and reviewed.
  • Address staffing issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters, in line with HR policies and best practice.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and contractual obligations, maintaining adherence to relevant standards and accreditation frameworks.
  • Oversee compliance with key legal and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, support the development of HR services, and assist with administrative tasks and the organisation of HR-related events as required.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience working within a HR Generalist role (experience at HR management level, or standalone HR is desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of GDPR and employment legislation, with the ability to apply it in practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and engage at all levels
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong willingness to learn
  • Available at short notice/immediately
