Quick Staff UK, a leading independent recruitment business, is pleased to offer an opportunity for an HR professional to join a dynamic company as an HR Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping people strategies and fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace. Based in our client's offices in Cardiff, this role offers some flexibility for remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Leadership: Oversee recruitment, employee relations, wellbeing, and diversity initiatives.
  • Policy Management: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies aligned with current UK employment law.
  • Recruitment: Lead end-to-end hiring processes, from job descriptions to candidate feedback.
  • Employee Development: Drive learning, succession planning, and performance reviews.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance on grievance, disciplinary, and absence management cases.
  • Wellbeing & Engagement: Create a positive workplace through recognition schemes and wellbeing initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • A minimum of two years working in a professional capacity in an HR function and providing advice on all HR matters.
  • Implementing HR strategy.
  • Leading complex employee relations cases including investigations, grievance, discipline, sickness absence.
  • Implementing HR policies and employment contracts.
  • Strong experience of recruitment and selection together with recruitment and selection processes.
  • Experience of learning and development best practice, succession planning and training delivery.
  • Effective interpersonal skills - ability to influence, negotiate, demonstrate empathy, and generate trust in others.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills - ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when communicating messages, listens and responds appropriately in formal and informal situations.
  • Effective problem-solving ability - skilled at identifying, confronting and proactively resolving issues.
  • Planning and Organisation - able to work autonomously, check own work and manage own time.
  • Strong decision-maker - ability to assess information, behaviours and situations to make time-considered and well-judged decisions.
  • IT Literate: Proficient in Windows-based software packages and HR systems.
