If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a leading Healthcare organisation on a long term contract to cover maternity. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work closely with managers and employees to build a positive, supportive, and engaging workplace where every team member feels valued and motivated.

You'll be joining an established HR team with a positive, collaborative culture where open communication, shared problem-solving, and mutual support are at the heart of everything they do.

Role: HR Advisor

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid - 4 days in-office)

Salary: up to 34,000 per annum

Contract: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Handle a diverse caseload, including absence, conduct, grievance, and capability matters.
  • Be a key point of contact for employees, advising on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support managers with absence and attrition tracking and coordinate Occupational Health support when required.
  • Maintain and update HR information systems, generating reports to support the department's needs.
  • Contribute actively to team KPIs and initiatives to boost engagement and staff retention.

Essential Skills:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (candidates working towards this qualification will also be considered)
  • Proven HR experience in a fast-paced setting, with strong skills in employee relations and absence management.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and statutory employee rights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
  • Positive, proactive team player, self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.

Please note: you must have a full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle as there will be travel expected between services in Newport and Cardiff (fully expensed).
