Hoop PS&HR are thrilled to be working exclusively with a long-standing client seeking a Junior HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their HR career in a true generalist role, working closely with an experienced HR Manager. The role will involve providing essential support, advice, and guidance to employees throughout the employment lifecycle while taking ownership of key HR processes and projects.

This hybrid role is based in Cardiff and offering a salary of up to 30,000 per annum, free on-site parking, along with excellent public transport links. It provides an ideal environment for an ambitious HR professional to gain exposure across a variety of HR functions while contributing to the success of a well-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate attraction, selection, and onboarding.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
  • Provide policy advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with business and legal requirements.
  • Support the HR Manager during investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, including taking minutes and drafting correspondence.
  • Maintain and update the HRIS system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Run HR data reports, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Assist with the delivery of HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and employee engagement activities.
We are seeking an ambitious and people-focused individual with a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within an HR department and be confident in providing first-line advice and support. A proactive approach and the ability to use initiative are essential. CIPD is desirable.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable handling confidential information. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the business are key to succeeding in this role.
