Technical Support Engineer - Cyber Security Consultancy

- Salary: £28,000 - £37,000 dependent on experience
- Hybrid working - Outskirts of Cardiff. Need some flexibility to travel to sites across the UK.

Technical Support Engineer opportunity joining a 15-20 employee Cyber Security company operating in the UK Defence sector.
You will be based on their office on the outskirts of Cardiff on a hybrid basis with some travel to Bristol and Corsham to deliver technical projects and deliver training demonstrations to both teams and clients.
You would work on an average of 3 days on site per week depending on which project phase you are working on (sometime phases will involve 4/5 days, sometimes just 1 day and remote working to complete documentation). All travel will be re-imbursed.
They will provide training and knowledge transfers to fill any gaps in your knowledge.
The role:
- Management / configuration of Azure virtual machines and virtual environments.
- Management / configuration of O365 (SharePoint, permissions groups, access control, security policies)
- Directory configuration, Server Building/VM building.
- Provide technical advice and guidance as 'business as usual'.
- Support delivery of technical training projects to clients, presenting technical demonstrations and walkthroughs.
- Support project reporting and auditing activity.
- Conduct and complete role-based training as required, this will include both on the job and course-based learning.
Skills required:
- Experience supporting at second-line level for business IT systems.
- An understanding of 'service support'.
- Experience of developing and configuring XMPP systems such as M-Link, Openfire etc.
- Experience of system installation and engineering.
- Proactive, confident and can-do attitude.
- Eligible for SC Clearance.
